Default Side mount license plate question

Hey guys has anyone tried to install one of these plate holders? It says it installs in place of the outer spacer on the rear axle. I have checked mine and this thing looks way too thick to fit there and get the nut back on, has anyone been able to do it on their streetbob? Thanks

It goes between the swingarm and the pulley, not on the outside of the swingarm

and will probably have to turn your spacer down too. im sure it isn't the same thickness as the one you have. almost certain it thinner so you will have to use yours also

It sounds like they think there are two spacers on the pulley side and this takes the place of the outer one. I only have one so I would have to come up with an inner spacer. I don't think that would be too hard.

I checked mine and I have one spacer and it's way bigger than the one that comes with the plate

If you really want to use it, you just have to figure out what size spacer you need.

Put it on, then measure how much more you need. take your spacer and cut it down to fit. if you don't don't have a lathe. cut easy with a saw and finish it to size with a belt sander. very easy to do
