" Tommorrow may rain...so I'll follow the sun" i like it ! gotta be a beatles freak like me,eh ? if you like the beatles. you ok man.
sorry, that has nothing to do with bikes.
I thought you had to like the Beatles in order to own a Dyna.
Matter o fact, I thought "Long and Winding Road" was written about riding a SuperGlide.
DougJ (not Bob)
I have to confess I hate the Beatles ... its all ACDC in my Ipod when riding (and Alabama3 and Jimmy Barnes if anyone knows who they are ! ... all a bit sad and banned from the house so I enjoy my tunes while riding) ... maybe its an age thing (41 this year)
btw ... love my Dyna ... especially the grubby matt black look I have mastered ... and i like scraping my pegs and using the revs ... its about getting the balance right for yourself i guess ... that's what is great about Harleys.

I've been through a bunch of them and I will tell you form experience,t he Dyna is a rider's bike. Almost as good as a Sporter in the "sport" department but has legs when the trip is longer. To be honest, those in "the know" know about Dynas and ride the daylights out of them.
I htink one of the reasons that there are more bling pages for Softtails is because Softtail owners are more into that. Each of the Harley families has their place and I do not look down my nose at any of them. In fact, if I oculd, I woudl own one of each of the families and use the one most suited for each mission.
I've been blessed sufficiently to be able to own two bikes. For a good while I had an Electra Glide Standard an a Night Train. Thought I had it covered but my lower back really got tired of the Night Train. After a few changes I am now running a Street Bob (love it!!) and a Jap Sport Tourer. If/when I get tired of the latter I see another Electra Glide in my future.
With allof that said, Dynas rock! Throw over bags and a detachable windshield gets them down the road, they can still hold their own in a street fight and, more so than Soft Tails, make great daily commuters.
Wow this is like the sportster page. I always had sportys and love em. I want to get a street bob once the sporty is paid off. I will keep the sporty though.
First off, if there were no Beatles, there would be no AC/DC. We'd all still have crew-cuts and be listening to Pat Boone and the Beach Boys. Either way, anything is better than Hip-Hop.
The day I bought my Dyna I had already worked out a ballpark deal over the phone for a Softail Standard. When I went in there to close it, I started looking around at what was on the floor and it wasn't long before we were crunching Street Bob numbers (forget the Softail). I left outta there on a Dyna and I haven't regreted it since. In fact, I have lost all desire to own a Sloptail...
I know I'm late to chime in on this but I had a motor cop pull up next to me a at a traffic light a couple of weeks ago (on a sweet '07 Road King). He immediately compliments me on my '07 Super Glide. In the brief stop he asked what year it was and told me he admired to "hot rod" look of it. I echo what a lot of you guys have said already, who cares what they say - I love my bike. I usually get more crap from my crotch rocket riding buddies - need I say more?
I was initially torn between the Night Train and Street Bob, but after more consideration, I'd like the performance edge over the stretched look. The head/trail are tighter on the SB, and I like that it'll have a bit better cornering ability.
As for baggers who make fun of Dynas, they can say Dynas look small, but I think baggers generally look thick and overweight. I'll take the Dyna, thanks.
IMO, Dynas are what Harley always intended for their bikes to be. Even before the baggers. And softails were for those that wanted a hardtail look without needing dialysis.
First and foremost, I only give respect to those, who love the ride...I don't care what you ride...
Now, if you want to say something negative about my dyna bob or ask if its my girls scoot...then well your gonna have me laughing really hard in your face....then when they ask me why I'm laughing....I say..." You must be new...." and I walk away.... Just like wescoot said: DILLIGAF????!?!?
