I have to admit that Figure machine cover is pretty cool.

Agree with all of this.

These boards have been both incredible and the bane of my existence. They've cost me a ton because I love to tinker so much and the boards have opened my eyes to what can be done to customize a Harley (Believe it or not I didnt even consider the Low Rider back when I was buying because I didn't like the battery cover). Now I have what I'd consider to be a low level addiction to working on it.

At the same time I often catch myself playing the "what if that happened to me " game, and have to remind myself that so many of these challenges are the exception and not the norm. I think that's been the case with many.
Yep, I plan on doing all this stuff to my engine as well.......if and when it blows up.

The most likey culprit in Thone7's cam problem is the inner cam bearings blowing up, not the cams. Possibly the lifters.

did you build or buy the cobra?

good idea, i'll set a search on ebay to notify me if a se pops up. i'll call s&s to talk about which set i would need. i'm normally anti engine digging but if i'm going to do that, i might as well add new cams while in there.

I see what is going on here, you are getting yourself all worked up to justify putting new cams in! You can just tell us you want new cams

I built the Cobra. Finished it in 1997, almost 30 years ago. Wow I'm getting old.
It has a 4" round tube frame, 86 corvette suspension and a 351 Cleveland for power. It is my other hobby.

Here is the real pic

It took 3.5 years. I built it, took the body off to have it painted then put it back on. Most of the time was for money. I paid cash for everything as I needed it. it was fully paid before the first drive. Be prepared as building a car takes a lot of room.

It looks good but I've heard there are problems with those and Figure Machine makes crappy parts.. Didn't experience it first hand though
