Not sure if this was already discussed. I have a 1996 super glide with the double (speedometer on left/ tach on right) and when I ride the speedometer sticks, tach alays works great. Doesn't work until about 15 mins after riding. Humid days it will work sooner or not stick at all. Any ideas how to fix this? If I need to replace can anyone tell me if I havE to replace entire unit? Or can I replace just the speed? Where can I find a replacement?

 

Might as well have it checked out by a Harley dealer. It can be caused by several different things. Electrical problems can be a real problem to track down. The speedometer can be replaced without replacing the tach. If you have to replace it, be ready for quite a search. To insure that you are getting a good one, I suggest that you or your dealer try to find one that is "new old stock". There are still a few out there.
