It seems that you can do anything with a Dyna, from a scrambler to a bagger.

For me it was first and foremost a case of fit. I'm 6'7 so that rules out everything but Dynas and tourers.

I like stripped down and minimalist so the streetbob was a logical choice, with forward controls, higher bars and a lower seat it was perfect.

I would have given you some style points if you would have posted this photo.

A Dyna Scrambler could weigh under 600 lbs. It wouldn't be for everyone, some people can't handle a bike over 500cc.
You can do a google search and find Dyna Scramblers if you want.

anything is possible but, thats a porky scrambler. that engine and frame mass just does not go away. i see they cut the girth on this one and have the 3.3 tank.

Sportsters used to come in two models. The "street" version (XLH):

And the "scrambler" version (XLCH):

no disputes there.. people are still building them. smaller, lighter more agile bike....

still on ebay- been there for a few weeks
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-David...515254?vxp=mtr

posted here:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...r-on-ebay.html
which what i keep saying and kool-aid drinkers keep trying to say, "but, dyna does...". just not the same, no matter how you cut it, literally or figuratively. dyna is a bigger (frame), fatter(total girth), and heavier (weight) bike. people aren't being honest with themselves.

but,:

the dyna IS NOT A BAD BIKE, i'm not saying it is. it's just no sportster. totally different feel and overall performance aspects. i really don't understand why folks are holding the line on something that's as clear as day, like i'm asailing their religion... it's a bike, lol

Why all the snivelin' about a Dyna being too heavy?
Sportsters are heavier than a lot of scramblers. It's all relative.
Just get yourself a smaller bike if you have trouble handling a Dyna's extra girth.
