I have 8 inch T-bars on my bike and want to put on a handlebar mounted windshield. I really dont like how they look so prob won't use it that much but want one for longer trips and when the locust come which is soon from what i hear. Anyways here is one similar to what im talking about
I have 8 inch t-bars and they are 1.25 inch in diameter so i think would have to get special clamps to cause of the thickness of the bars but they sale those too for another 30 bucks, maybe should just quit being cheap and get the MS Gauntlet like i want but money is tight.
Got a Spitfire for mine. I had the 1.25" apes in when I got it. Went to the 1.5" t-bars and just ordered the bigger clamps fir it. I rarely use it unless it's cold or I'm doing big miles. At $75, it fit the budget well.
And abouth spitfire how is the quality of the hardware that comes with it. Ever had any problems with it coming loose while riding. The price is right i just wanna make sure its decent quality so i dont have to buy another one later.
No issues so far. I used it for a couple longer rides last fall. The big bars got installed over the winter and I needed new clamps to reinstall it this spring. It's a decent budget screen for occasional use. The nice part is, it's infinitely adjustable for height and angle with just two clamps. The new mounts have arrived. I'll get some pics later this evening for ya.
There's enough room to fit my Pistol Pockets bag behind it and still have easy access. I've installed this a couple times and it gets easier each time. First setup took me 20-30 minutes.
Yeah, the bike is filthy. I rode 90 miles R/T in the rain today commuting.
