Rear Shock Adjustment
I have a 02 WG. Are my rear shocks pretty easily adjustable? When I have my girl on the back I sometimes bottom out. If they are adjust able where can I find what they should be set at with my 220 lb *** on them as well as adding my 120 lb girlfiend on there.
Thanks
You can grab the lower chrome skirt of the shock with your hands and turn it clockwise to adjust it up to accomadate more weight. It is not easy but I can do it. Just watch your fingers when the skirt turns. Itrotates about 1 inch, so leave room so your fingers don't get pinched. I have never tried to turn them back down by hand becuase I have never had to. The only reason that I know that it can be done by hand is because I could not locate my rubber strap tool so I tried it by hand and it worked.
Thanks, I suppose I will have to head to the stealer and buy a $40 wrench if I ever want to lower it, ha-ha.
Is there a guage in the bike that tells youwhat setting it's inor is it just by feel and previous experience.

You probably got about five clicks of adjustment, the more shock exposed at the bottom, below the spring, the stiffer the ride. Just adjust both shocks all the way one way or the other and move each shock the same number of clicks til you're satisfied with the ride.
Good Luck

I could't get a good enough grip on mine to crank it up all the way with just my hands so I took an old Suzuki shock wrench I had laying around and modified it a little and it works great.I can throw my Street Bob around pretty good in the twistys without anything dragging but I don't have a back seat so I couldn't tell you how it rides two up.
