Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'll have to look in the manual again to see what the three different front ends are that came on this bike. I ordered the Progressive HD springs and I double checked the order and the box again after I was informed of this, and it specifically says that it works on a 2002 FXDX, but apparently not the one I have lol. I'll get in touch with HogPro.

I don't know what "three different front ends" could possibly have been available on your bike... All I can think of is this: The first year FXDX didn't have a cartridge style fork (1999). 2000 and up had a 39mm cartridge fork. It is possible to remove the cartridges completely and "downgrade" to conventional internals... Maybe what someone meant by three choices was the '99, the '00 and up, and a later fork converted away from the cartridges?

The parts microfiche only shows one option for a 2002 FXDX. There were at least three different options for 2002 Dynas overall, though (conventional, cartridge, wide glide...)!

I'm hoping to pick the bike up tomorrow so I'll have them clarify it for me again. Will report back with what I hear. They showed me in one of the manuals but I'm not sure which one it was.

Took quite a bit longer to get her back than expected, but I picked her up today and rode about half the day. Damn I missed it.
