Wow, youtube is your friend...I know it's not up close and personal, but youtube has a ton of Harley video/sound clips, some with people specifically saying what pipes they have on. I really like the sound of the Krome Werks - that's exactly what I was looking for. Can't tell what kind of bike it is (too dark) other than it has right hand drive and the post isn't in English: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDd94Rl_5Z4 Really nice, deep sound. Would be nice to see if the motor is a fathead...
Bike in the Vid looks like a late model Sporty...
I couldn't tell at all - thanks. Well, my Wide Glide would sound a bit different...
I stumbled over this with the lofty thought of a Big Radius set. I've got the Rush and like them, but i wonder if i'm just not getting used to the sound, cause they just don't sound as loud as they used to.
strich- thanks for the answer - yes I did find something, although not what I expected. I ended up selling my BRs and getting stock pipes. They suck with the stock mufflersof course, but I wanted low-end torque. I then found a set of OLD SEs on eBay, which I believe someone said were made by Cycle Shack. They were like $35 so I couldn't pass them up. I really like the way they sound: pretty deep, and not too loud at idle, but they really bark when you open it up. So, I got an exhaust I like that performs great for how I ride, for about$100. The chrome is great and nothing is scratched or dented. Can't ask for more than that.
Now all I have to do is stop looking at the V&H Big Shot Staggerds because I think they look cool as hell...
