I'd be extremely leery of buying a bike with a modded motor. Without documentation from a trusted shop or getting a "warm & fuzzy" about the owner's wrenching skills & maintenance habits, I wouldn't touch it. If the price was low enough to offset the potential repair costs, I'd consider it. Otherwise, no way.

Guess folks don't realize that most mods bring zero dollars. If ya wanna attempt to recoup any of that mod money, yer gonna hafta sell those parts separately.
Yeah, I have a modified 91' FXR, highly modified, that I am thinking of selling to start a new project (finish one, start another), and I doubt I could get anywhere close to what I have in it.
