i'm glad too. not sure what is was thinking the on the first go round just looking at the connections and not the wiring. sloppy... it's a clear fail unless there is a fuel pin at position 9 on the gauge ... which there more than likely is not.
set it all up, and nothing.. just darkness. certified failure:
I'd be curious to see the difference between the two pinouts. Might be as simple as rearranging the pins on plug...
looking at the pin arrangements on the diagrams posted earlier, looks like all the pins retained their positions. I am not opposed to molesting the wires... but, no chopping.
i could allso try the lowrider harness
low rider s seat appeared. i test fit it but, found that i need to get fender cushions and grind a key into the middle seat hole on the fender to hold the seat down withe the screw and seat nut.
seat feels funny and pushed me forward. i'll get the goods from the dealer tomorrow.
seat looks cool but, i have no love for it. i'll leave it on there for a few weeks to try to warm up to it. it put me in almost the same position as the new 2018 fatbob did, making my forward controls feel like further forward mids. the little hump in the back acted like a squishy ramp. i'm just used to feel stretched out on the wide glide AMD thats part if the reason i like the bike on long trips. the LRS seat is nowhere near as plush as the stock seat either... for me, this is a hooligan/round town seat.
i'll leave it on there for a few weeks to try to warm up to it.
I think a Lot of seats are designed to put the rider more forward than we want. I had the same problem with the Sundowner I got. sat way high, and forward. so I pulled the 'leather' back and shaped the foam myself, cut about 1/2" off the top, and probably 3/4" backwards into the hump. Now it sits like i wanted.
