Thanks,

Colorado Customs. http://ccmotorcyclewheels.com

Nice folks. I called them up and they walked me through the process, rushed the order, and gave me a good price vs what is posted on the site. I think that was because i went straight to them and not through a shop.

It's been awhile since I checked in on this thread. Haven't been on the forum much lately, new job without forum access, so I actually have to work, not just surf the forum...

Your bike is coming along quite nicely. I generally prefer spokes on a Harley, but that wheel setup looks great on your Wide Glide. Very tasteful.

And props again to Multihdrdr.

Ahh, Quit it ...just doin' my job

Now, back to business...

The rotor appears a bit to the LEFT...yes?

You can go back to your original parts (bearings, spacer sleeve) along with moving your rotor (and wheel) to the right by using a bearing shim (in the correct position ) with the stock parts. The shim is used to position that Right-Rear bearing. It doesn't add anything to the brg/sleeve Stack-up dimension (it surrounds the sleeve).

43904-08 Spacer/Shim ~.203" (you have the 43903-08)

Wide brg - (stock brg + shim)
.809 - (.590 + .203) = .016"

So you could move the rotor to the right within the caliper ~.016" while keeping your stock Stack-up width exactly the same as original.

Alternately, even though 43904-08 Spacer/Shim is used for your application with HD controlled wheels (bearing bore depth), you have "custom" wheels (beautiful btw ), if you find moving the rotor (and wheel) to right ~.036" to be better, you could use your thinner 43903-08

Maybe something to think about

So, now... originally Two thin bearings in the front? did you happen to measure the front sleeve?

EDIT: just to confirm...you installed first bearing on brake disc side?
.

To tell you the truth...after seeing ALL the pics showing your use of "anti-seize", I went out and bought stock in Permatex (or parent co.)

Right on, I thought it have been. They were one of my top few choices when i was making my wheel decision.

You don't want to wipe the anti-seize off your tires. Can you imagine the carnage resulting from a tire that siezed up at speed? Fire and brimstone! Cats and dogs living together! Anarchy!

Thank you.

rotor:
yes, it is sitting out to the left but not dragging. you are saying move it. i trust your judgement. i will move it. can i shim the wide bearings? i want to add the w205pps. i can use the potential surplus 205pps on the sportster roadster wheels. wouldn't the net effect be nearly the same? (splitting hairs)

yes sir, the bearings were installed brake disk side first.

front:
No sir, i didn't measure the sleeve.
