Have the 1D12RB (the black version), found the muffler piece a bit difficult to fit properly.
I find it quite a bit quieter than the thunderheader and a bit "tinnier", has some nice snarls and cracks when you give it a fistfull. Seems to have better ground clearance than most pipes i have tried and seen.
I've got mine sitting in the box waiting to be installed. I have heard that they last longer than the thunder header. Not sure about the sound. Guess I'll know after next week.

Yeah, I was debating on getting a thunderheader as well, i love the sound it produces, but I have read so many stories of the chrome peeling, or brackets/welds breaking, it turned me to the bassani....I can't wait!
I've got a bassani 2 into 1 I just installed on my 02 dyna lowrider, it sounds pretty cool. More like a performance car exhaust than a "harley" exhaust. Different sounding for sure. Loud and I like the performance. Sounds like a harley at low revs up to about 3 grand, above that it snarls like a muscle car. My only beef with it is the pipes hang really low just below the right peg, I scrape the pipes when I lean it over hard on the right..
Because I just saw your question about dragging the MF pipe in another thread, I figured I'd drop in here as well. I was about to get this pipe, but then read several situations where people had issues with dragging. I ended up going with the 13112J simply because it only has the front head pipe passing under the peg.
Side by side, the 13112J and the 1D12R about the same, volume wise.
