Well I finished the lift 'mod' today, lifted the bike...very unsteady, lowered the lift, bike fell over and broke the clutch lever and perch ! Forgot that the kickstand would spring up when bike lifted ! So that's costing me $30 on e-bay for a replacement. Should have gone with the Harley blocks in the first place !...b.
Sorry your bike got damaged, but must refer you to post #17

Well, damn that. Ouch; but honestly, the HD lift adapters wouldn't have saved you from that drop. That's fully on you to be certain the jiffy stand is down and fully locked forward. When I lower my beast I drop her slowly and walk around to the low side and hold my boot against the jiffy keeping it forward as the bike settles back on the ground.
This is why myself and others in this thread have been saying J&S; the Dyna is a unique beast, the modded lift will work but before my J&S I also used 2 jack stands to stabilize the bike, sort of a Rube Goldberg arrangement. Next time be very mindful of the Jiffy stand's position; gravity will always win. It's not just a good idea, it's the law
