That, in my opinion, is a huge waste of a bike that comes really nice from the factory. That's going the opposite direction from what that bike was made to do. You're probably better off selling the DLS and buying a crossbones.
Part of me hopes this is some sick joke to get people fired up.
The springer front end is a piece of junk!
If you're gonna put a springer on a motorcycle, you might as well buy a Softail.....That way you can have the complete junkyard experience.
Only a fool would buy what is arguably the best handling Harley coming from the factory today and put the sorriest front end that money can buy on it.
Yeah it's your bike and all that happy horseshit, but that's about as absurd as putting a Springer on an FXR. You bought "probably" the best handling & performing HD coming out of the factory today, and want to put a Springer on it? I personally don't think it's going to improve the look in any way either. Sorry, but I just can't imagine why you even bought this bike
If you like what the "S" models have to offer, a Softail Slim might have been a better choice to fit with a Springer.
No need to be offended, and welcome to the forum. I just don't get it... but then again, I don't need to.
AGREED!
Why buy a high performance bike to then downgrade the performance?.....
I was just casually tossing the idea around. After buying the wife a new car I have realized I can probably get away with buying another bike now. So I'm in the market for a project bike. I really wanted something to play with and since one bike was all I could foresee owning that was what I was thinking. Now I got plans to build myself the bobber. Just need to find a nice starting point. Then I'm gonna need to buy the old lady something else so I can pick up a tourer. That will probably be it for me. Performance bike, touring bike, chopped up toy bike.

For a VERY short period of time, I played with the idea of going bobber style with my street bob, but then realized it would never be what I wanted. So, I went the performance direction with the DB, and will be in the market for something I can hack up, and make a true bobber.
