I wouldn't adjust a thing on my Wide Glide. Smooth ride and handles corners great. I am not big into dragging pegs, so I think the that ride height is perfect.
no comparison to the sporty.
but
i do feel i should upgrade my suspension.
it is not as bad as it was when i had my '05 XL883C
don't forget the front fork is the same as on the V-Rod, which means the basic ingrediants are far superior to those found in the flimsy 39mm forks the sporty has.
just upgrade the oil to a heavier grade. ur done.
on the back...well...here HD does save some $$ and stiks us with lousy stuff.
but as long as u dont push the bike too muchor ride through really bad pavement, it's fine.
No suspension upgrades for me. It's a smooth ride. Usually when someone says "It's like a sportster" that person is looking at the exposed rear shocks.
Apples and Oranges.. Sportys are just that, HD's first version of a sport bike. Handle very well, even better than the Dyna's, for cornering. Dyna is more of a cruiser, with some of the same qualities of a sport bike.
I'm sorry but I found the rear shocks to suck soo bad it was one of the first things I changed. I got progressives and it smoothes out the ride and handles much better.
