Delrin chain sliders; when you convert to chain drive the chain can contact the passenger peg bracket and the inner primary and chew them up. Using these the chain contacts the delrin blocks instead.
Delrin is machined like metal, so I guess you're paying for the machinist's skills, and pass through costs on equipment. I don't think the material alone costs all that much. Still, specialty parts will leave you with a sore ***

I do custom welding and fab. and some times customers don't under stand why it cost so much to make something so simple. If you only knew how much time it takes to make something work and look good, plus the machinery, plus the materials and a pile of junk AKA proto types. I would say make it yourself and see if it is expensive.
