Fork brace on low rider S
On my former 2015 FXDL, i had the screamin' eagle HD chromed fork brace.
Now, on my FXDLS, i have installed a gloss black Superbrace, ordered directly to this firm.
Would like to say that it's a very good quality item. It fits perfectly and has been mounted in 5 mn.
It's an essential item on a Harley, specially for Sportster, Dyna, and softail. I can feel a real difference with or without, when I do hard rides.
The feeling of the steering of the bike is really more accurate.
On wide glide, with long forks, must be more important, on softails breakout too.
Once my wife have had a little accident with her former street bob. She had a very light crash against the rear of a car. She didn't fall at all. But even with a very light crash, the 2 tubes of the fork were twisted.
When I have made them change, i have seen that their diameter since 2006 is larger than before, but their thickness is very light. Too light , in fact. That's why, fork braces contribute to give our hd fork more rigidity and stability. If you add the weight of our bikes... you will understand that, fork brace are essential.
But this is just my own opinion. A lot of bikers, doesn't care, I know.
No one is obliged and I precise that I don't have the chance to know personnaly mister Scott Superbrace ! No interest at all from the South of France.
