Been to every shop anywhere close to me today. Looked at and sat on a ton of bikes. Weather siding cooperate so didn't leave the showroom floor though.
Really liked the new wide glides, and was surprised at how much I liked the Streetbobs. I think I could really like a SB setup similar to the one pictured above.

You can't go wrong with a Street Bob (with forwards) I was so happy with mine, only reason I didn't go for one again was because I wanted forward controls, a larger tank and dual disks which the Fat Bob comes out of the box with.
An added bonus is that every man and his dog has a Street Bob where I live and nobody is changing much on Fat Bobs.
I have to agree with NC ROB I also had a wide glide 2007 and loved it look wise etc, but handling fully loaded up was scary at times, then I got a fatbob and love it, mainly due to handling because here in Europe lots of little tight roads that the wide glide struggles to take at certain speeds, also it is more planted on the road especially when big trucks drive by, only thing I added to my Fatbob is a True track sytem front and rear purely to make everything rock solid like the Fatboy,s and softails, them soft engine mounts do not inspire confidence, when loaded with gear in sweepers, but now all is good.
I have an 01 low rider, I'm 6'5ish, I have four inch extended forward controls I have a mustang seat and 12 inch bars. I am very comfortable on this bike too.. There are a lot of seats as I'm finding out that will give you a little bit more room. There's another thread on seats right now..
Your bike is what you are willing to make it, or spend on it. Choose what will make it easy for you..
Me, I like to be able to work on mine, carburetored is easy to work on for me. How ever I will take it to someone else to have major work done..
