Hey Pirate, I got a regular fender I'm getting ready to put on my S. What all is needed for the tail light? Is it a plug and play deal?
also, I got some Lucky Daves 14" I'm getting ready to put on and I got a brake line off eBay for fairly cheap. Around 90 bucks I think. I got a +4 so I'm hoping it's long enough.
For the long fender you'll need a new tail light, the base plate, the electrical circuit board and the wiring harness. Heres a link to the part numbers you'll need.
Sorry I haven't been replying in the last few days, I got cut off on the road and scraped up the bike a little bit. Broken arm and some road rash but its all good. Typing takes me a little while as I can only use one hand for now. Ill try to get some pics of the bike up later on.
My 117 kit came in today so I'll be doin the install Saturday and if necessary Sunday as well. I will be taking a lot of pictures so others know what they are in for if they decide to install their own.
Yep, the dude took off, then came back 15 min later after he almost ran another person off the road. Whoever he ran off the road followed him back to where I was. Some people I swear, like really? I get it, accidents happen, I can forgive that, but don't take off like an idiot. Thats how karma comes around and finds out where you live. Whatever, broken bones heal and life goes on. Ive been in worse so this is just more of an inconvenience.
Thought Id post some pics of what the bike looks like for those who care to see. It isn't bad at all just minor things to fix. Luckily that big whale d*ck intake saved my tank form getting destroyed, even thought the turn signal put a small dent in the top but thats minor. Im sure its not big enough to ruin the coating inside the tank. Everything but the pipe was going to get replaced eventually so Im not that upset, just bummed it went for a slide with only 300 miles on the clock.
Also, while Im going through some pics in my albums, here are some of my previous bikes to check out. I can't wait to start tearing into the Low Rider S, its driving me nuts just sitting in my garage, defeated haha. The purple one is still in the shop, should be getting it back any day now.
The black and white bike was a FXDP Defender that I should have never sold, Blue was a FXDXT with Leather pro bags and an OE Fairing, then what it looked like when it was totaled thanks to a corolla that pulled in front of me. That spill was much worse and Im lucky to have made it through that one.
