I traded in my sporty and drove my new used 2012 Wide Glide home today. Beyond excited to join the Dyna club! I was wondering if you folks had suggestion on a good passengers pillion for my OL. The stock one that's on there is just this little rectangle strip a few inches wide which isn't going to work for any ride longer than around the block.
Any good models anyone suggest?
Do the pillions for different model and year bikes? For example if someone was willing one from a 2002 Dyna would that fit mine?
Be sure to consider a full 2 up seat as well. You can alwAys keep your factory seat/pillion for riding solo or short rides here and there, then have a nice comfy touring seat for longer rides. I have an oem Fxdb seat for myself, and a Badlander for 2 up or grocery shopping (it's uncomfortable as **** though for long trips so I'm lookin for a touring seat too). Mustang, saddle man, and drag specialties seem to have the most options, but Corbin makes a lot of very nice/comfortable seats, le pera, bitwell, there's so many out there. Welcome to the Dyna forums hope this helps
By the way, as far as tips go, with seats, you get what you pay for. Definitely watch the classifieds sections here, as well as local swap meets. You can get a 400 dollar seat for 100-150 depending on the seller so that's where I'd go for sure.

Thanks. That's pretty much my goal - to find a used seat for 1/3 the price. Just going to take some researching and time.
How do I know if a seat will fit? Are seats on all model Dynas interchangeable?
Just go on the manufacturer website and look up the specific seat you're lookin at and it should say. As long as you have the factory fender, other Dyna seats should fit. Sometimes you have to move the thread cylinder from one hole to another, but that's just removing a little plastic clip. You should be good to go. Ask us if you wanna be safe.

I got the Mustang Wide Tripper solo/pillion combo in diamond stitch on my 2011 Wide Glide because I felt like it was the best combination of comfort and sleek looks. It fits fine with the stock sissy bar. My wife doesn't ride with me a whole lot, but if we stop every hour or so she's fine with it. http://www.mustangseats.com/Product/...Dyna-2006-2017
