It's a nice compromise bike. Looks better than a touring bike and performs better than a Softail.

It's kind of like the muscle car of the harleys. Good platform to add plenty of power too. But can also be a touring bike or anything you want it to be.

Best "all purpose" motorcycle in Harley's lineup. I've owned them all, and keep coming back to the Dyna family. Just traded my Street Glide for a new Low Rider. I've owned 3 baggers, two Sportsters (a while ago), a Softail (I hated), and several FXD's, and Low Riders. Always found myself missing the Dyna. They do it all, while still looking like a "motorcycle". Baggers, while OK for touring, just remind me of a two wheeled minivan.

Most practical bike for me. Like the looks,power and versatility of what you can make it.

I wouldn't call it a compromise at all. It's exactly what a motorcycle should be. A motor with two wheels. None of the extra garbage they toss on other bikes like radios, cd players, satellite dishes, big screen tvs, home theater systems blah blah blah. If i needed everything with me then I should have stayed home

It's to get away from it all. Thats what I love about it.

You're right. Compromise makes it sound bad. How about "versatile"?
