Yep I think you will be fine with that, that way the rear wheel will not be playing catch up with the front, with all that twisting around in the tranny engine area.

Hey D, how can I tell if my OEM motor mount is bad on my 2002 wide glide. I know its old. Would like to put the predator on it.
If you want to install the Predator, do it, you don't need to wait until the isolator fails
I never had any problems with my older Wide Glides and the front isolators, their original isolators held up. It was this '13 that ate one up so quickly; HD has been using the #47583-90B front isolator for quite some time now but it was the '13 that needed an alignment and shims to make it right.
HD did issue a service bulletin on Dyna vibration; on the final page it shows how you can check to see if the rubber of the isolator is collapsing and beginning to contact the engine bracket. https://app.box.com/s/42af95077c683c50e461
The rubber of my original isolator on my '13 had pushed up solidly in to the engine bracket causing all sorts of vibrations and shuddering. Once I replaced it and properly aligned the bike all issues were gone; the bike is smooth. To me the isolator is a wear item so I keep an eye on it but as of now it shows no signs of distortion at all. The Dyna is sensitive to its alignment and just because a bike is new off the floor doesn't mean the bike was correctly aligned.
Take a look at your isolator and see if it's showing any signs of distortion; I wonder if the person who was doing the Dyna alignments on the assembly line retired and the new guy doesn't quite have the eye for it
just got an email from fedex. it was picked up and scheduled for delivery tomorrow before 10:30am. wow! thats freaking fast and cheap. i have paid more for overnight shipping from places that i could have probably driven to.

Yep thats what lots of the guys say, quick shipping and cheap postage, I believe its only 25 uk pounds to the USA that is damn good for fedex, keep us up to speed when installed and some pics would be cool of the old engine mount so we can see what state it is in after a year with oil on it.
Got the new mount installed today. I still have to put my oil cooler back on so I haven't been able to ride it or even start it yet. It looks a lot stronger than the oem mount. While I had it on the lift I noticed that the fall away is jacked. I haven't looked up the specs yet, but I'm pretty sure it not with in spec. It just completely falls to the left side on its own. If I pull over to the right side it will hold for 3-4in then falls away. I'm gonna pull the clutch cable off and get the fall away adjusted while it's still on the lift. Anyways, here are some pics of the oem mount. I'm not sure if it still good or not, I don't have anything to compare it to..
Yep that is the real problem with motor mounts, they alwys actually look good, but the problem lies in the weakened rubber once oil get on it, I doubt that could be seen with a naked eye, unless it was ripped somewhere, but you will surely have your answer when you get out on your ride with the new mount installed, good info below.
I had the same problem with the wobbles. I was riding at 35 mph and every time I loosen on the throttle, I FXDWG would shake like a death shake. When I checked my spokes, it appeared to be ok. I tighten them anyways. I corrected the shake. I was worried it would be more than the spokes. Didn't have to invest any $. You could invest in a spoke wrench or use a small crescent went as I did. Hope that helps! Good luck.
