Ditched my 12in T-bars and finished the install of Biltwell risers with tracker bar. Total height about 11in.
The vibration is horrid! Not just vibratory annoyance in the grip area, but the entire end of the bars are like a damn jackhammer! I understand Dyna vibrations, this ain't my first rodeo, but man if anyone has something specific they did to correct this, I'm all ears.
So many folks are running his type of setup, surely it's been experienced by others. I've been reading thru posts etc but the search function brings up a lot of unnecessary info.
I don't have riser bushings at all. I have Hollywood bars, with Slim pullback risers hard mounted on a Joker top tree. Hardly any vibes at all. You may have something else going on.
Nah, I know exactly what the OP is talking about. When I used to have Westcoast tbars, they were like jackhammers too. When I switched out to Lucky Dave's bars, it was better. When I shimmed the front motor mount, they almost went away.
Either polyurethane or solid aluminium bushings should do the trick. The taller the bars the more leverage and the more they can move and bounce around. Especially with rubber bushings.
The motor mount looks fine. The rubber mount is not the curved one I've read about. Not sure how adding shims would change that. I do wonder about the weight of the bars. I ordered some lead weight rods I'm going to insert into the handlebars at the grips.
The Biltwell risers are solid and heavy so doubt that's the problem. The bushings looked good and appear polyurethane.
