Default 2017 fdxf-Black it out to the max?

Im going to be upgrading from my 2009 ZX6R Monster edition to a 2017 FDXF Fat Bob in about 2 months.
I want to black this thing out. Plastic stuff i can paint easily. (sand, adhesion promoter, krylon fusion(this stuff chemically bonds to plastic), matte clear ...boom)
I've been searching high and low for black parts.
I've decided on a build and need some tips.
the list:
Vance and hines Big radius(the curved ones)
vance and hines FP3
vance and hines V02 drak (black) aircleaner
HD moustache engine guard(its cheap protection)
Skull tank caps -Cannot find in black
black bolts for the assorted bolts that are visible(primary, belt guard etc...) (where can i find these?)
HD black rear fender support
Black headlight-Where?
black levers

the small accents of chrome i will leave alone.
ANy other tips would be slick. I've seen a few threads on here about this and they have had helpful tips.

There are plenty more black bits
  • Black pushrod tubes
  • Black fork caps
  • Black shocks
  • Belt Guard
  • Horn Cover
  • Forward control brake/shifter arms
  • Fork Caps
  • Bars
  • fork gaiters
  • upper fork tube covers
  • Turn Signals
  • Brake/Clutch Levers
  • Turn signals

Just changing the fender struts and shocks to all black totally changes the look of the bike.

You'll have to paint/powder the headlight bucket

well first of all congratulations, I don't care what anyone says-there's nothin like a Harley. Anyway I'm not as familiar with what all is chrome on the fb but as far as not finding the fuel gage/cap in black, try the HD Dyna flush mount gage/cap. I'm sure you can find a black headlight since they come factory on the s models. something else to think of, since you're switching TO Harley, are you sure that's all you'll ever do for performance? I'd suggest spending an extra 150 on a Powervision that way you have a good tuner capable of tuning ANY upgrades you do in the future. A lot of people do exhaust/ac, then want more and end up doin cams. Just something to think about.

im likely not breaking into the engine for performance. More air, more exhaust, K&N and the computer mods is likely about it. My zx6r, is insane fast. I did pcV, auto tuner, quickshifter, K&N, full m4 exhaust, upgraded TB, injectors etc. I had no trouble beating liter bikes and yes even smoked my share of V rods and vettes. \

Tall Timber, how hard are the pushrod tubes to swap out?
got a link to where you got those shocks?
or any of that stuff, your bike looks great man!

pushrods will have to be removed to swap the tubes either by destroying the current ones and replacing with adjustable pushrods or removing the heads to properly remove them which is a lot to get to them. Or you can buy snap on covers.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong

snap on covers sound much better. Senseless to tear a motor down for some better looks.
anyone familiar with these things? https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...-cam-1999-2016

the reason im doing all this is to set up a shopping list. I should have about 6-7,000$ on top of the bike purchase to use for mods. I want to get the most bang for my buck possible without resorting to JCW.

are these the covers you mentioned?

yup those are them, I'm in the process of a cam swap so now you got me thinking if i should powdercoat my tubes lol.

I run a tappet block cover but it's the Harley one, best bet is to get the chrome one and powdercoat it all black since that's what you want would prolly cost you an extra 20 to 30 to do that

if its tore apart man, DO IT! you will kick yourself later once its assembled. I Know I would. I am no fan of chrome, it looks great I just want to wash my bike and ride. I did a girlfriends bike once...she has a fat boy...chromed like nobody's business. took a half a can of mothers and 4 hours. Chrome keeps ya home!
