Default Beware Valholl Counter Culture

I'm here to share my tale of woe in the court of public opinion, in hopes of keeping others from sharing in my experience:

-After some back and forth with Julie at Valholl regarding shifter specifics, on Feb 12th I placed an order for a set of custom shifters and Destroyers. Please note at this time Julie is very responsive to emails, at some instances multiple replies a day.

-On Feb 14th I confirmed that the order was received since I did not get a confirmation. I was assured that the order was indeed received, that the Destroyers were in stock and the levers would take "a few extra days" and then the order would be shipped.

-I followed up again on March 3rd after having received no items, no shipping notice, and no status update. I'm in the Army and had been TDY up until this point, so no real chance to follow up until now.

-The seller did not reply to my email so I followed up again on March 6th.

-Once again I got no reply from seller and followed up again on March 7th, stating if I did not get a status update by close of business I would be filing a claim with paypal. Only at that time did I get a reply from the company stating that the levers were at the powdercoater. Seller offered to send me the other half of my order in which I replied that would not help as I needed the entire order at same time to install. Once again I asked for an ETA and got no response.

-I followed up again on March 13th requesting an ETA and was only once again told that the levers were at the powdercoater and the other half of my order could be shipped, as if we had not had the previous conversation.

-On March 14th I replied that they had a suspense of March 17th to get the levers out of powdercoat and get my items shipped, or otherwise to refund the cost of the levers. I was ensured this would happen.

-On March 17th I followed up again with the seller to find out the status and was told they were picking up the levers but they might not get them shipped out until Saturday. I then requested a tracking number once the item shipped.

-After not getting said tracking number on Friday I followed up on Saturday once again requesting the tracking number, to no reply. I then sent another email this morning stating my dissatisfaction with this company.

Over the course of these email exchanges, I did some digging and reviewed some other customer comments on their Facebook page. Most recently there is a dude who ordered some shirts around the same time I placed my order who has also not received anything (as of 3 hours ago) other than the lie that his items would be shipped. I also saw a guy who placed an order in November and did not get his items.

Now, Julie at Valholl has made some claims to me that there were family emergencies, supplier issues, etc of which I am sympathetic. I consider myself a pretty patient person, I've owned my own business before and as a general rule **** HAPPENS....but you also need to communicate with the customer. The fact that I was told things were in stock and available, only then to be told there are supplier issues, and only after threatening to file a claim did I actually begin to receive these replies both make me feel like something is up.

I believe Valholl has no intention of shipping me my items. Its a real bummer because this entire thing has been holding up finishing my front end in time for bike week. Now not only am I still not going to have it done for bike week, I have to fight to get my money back and find a solution elsewhere. Buyer beware!!!

Yeah, yet you read it?! And if you were out $360 I'm sure you'd just be happy as a clam too. Or perhaps you're one of those independently wealthy guys who only rides their bike a couple times a year, after you trailer it to wherever.

Troll on, donkey kong.

Know where you're coming from. You pay for something, it's too easy to communicate these days. Pretty sure they are associated or have something to do with pistol pockets. Believe they may be the same company. I ordered their t bar bag and it took over a month to receive. I emailed and texted them and they never responded to me, not once.

Even if I really liked something they have to offer, no chance I give them my money again.

Hope you get your gear.

Thanks for the feedback. At this point I really still want the parts because they are exactly what I'm looking for but this seems to be a current trend with them. If nothing else I want this thread to go off into the googledom for future potential customers so they know what they are getting into.

The company has until April 8th to either refund me or get me the parts before paypal takes over the dispute.

Short version, you tried to buy "hard parts" from a sticker shop..
Long version, their first employee is Grandma after seeing how well she applied the the contact paper in her pantry.Their other employee is an undependable tweeker that was hired to grind (they love that sh*t btw) the ***** off factory shift levers.AND he gets to work with spray paint too?! That's a dream job right there! Well, Grandma fell down the the stairs where the sticker machine is and the tweeker got pinched by the Popo trying to steal a bicycle. So yea, their a little behind. Bottom line, stay off Instagram. It's Fake.

dispute the charges through your cc or Paypal, then email Julie and tell her to ship you the items, THEN email you once they are delivered, then just not return her emails or tell her you had a family emergency and financial trouble. Two way street bitch. No seriously though that's ****ed up. Definitely dispute charges.
