I do not know if you guys in the states have this on your rides, here in Europe we all have it, basically it opens and closes the butterfly in the exhaust, closed keeps the noise down, and open gets more noise, well I just found a great little piece of kit for not to many euros, I paid 75 shipped to the door, well it is a trick box, that allows you to keep open the exhaust actuator valve to have the ride sounding like a Harley, and when the cops pull you over for a sound check, you flip the switch, and it closes the valve and your ride becomes a hell of a lot quieter, and you ride away with no fine, I got it in Germany, all is in German but it is just plug and ride.
I got one of those, but waaaaay less complicated. Essentially just the plug with an internal trickwire between two of the pins, no option to switch on or off.

Yep I have that little plug also, only problem is it stays open all the time, and if you get a sound control, you will not have time to unplug and plug back in original actuator plug, reason I got this is flick of a switch and all sorted, however I am not sure yet if you can only flick the switch when stopped or can it be done at low speed, I am waiting on the guys in Germany to get back to me just to clarify this point.
Wide open all the time here! Cops don't pull Harley's around here, only sport bikes.
Used to be like that in Europe before, some countries are cool but France Germany Switzerland etc are getting worse, I suppose over time it will be all over Europe.
Holy crap! So you mean Europe is becoming California? Next thing you know you will have actors becoming politicians. Oh yea, Europeans still enjoy a smoking a cigarette in public, right? Forget it. You will have to build personal smoking chambers with heap and carbon filtration that can only be disposed of in a nuclear waste facility.
