I'm looking to convert my 1995 FXD from Mids to Forward controls, planning to just put on the shifter shaft spline cover, but any recommendations on removing the shift linkage arm on the back end of the shifter shaft that runs through the inner primary? or ideas to put it out of sight and secure it without cutting the shifter tube so that it doesn't drive me crazy? I'm trying not to completely remove the inner/outer primary or the shifter shaft in case someone else wants to convert it back to Mids later down the road. Any advice welcome or tips welcome. Also looking at swapping to 10 inch mini-apes as well. It's an almost entirely stock bike in great shape, but it could use some personality (and creature comforts )
PS- I've seen the WS6 Formula, If needs be I'll cut it as a last resort and plug it of, it needs full fluid changes all aroung anyways. I have a full set of Jaybrake billet controls I'd like to add to her.
