It's whatever floats your boat and gives you a rise. Apes have been around for a long time and some like the nostalgia of them. Me, they give me a rise and I've got the pull-back I want to get control of my machine. No disrespect to my brothers with T-bars but, they don't look sexy to me. But hell, I'll ride with ya

Its like most stuff on these bikes - "Each to their own"

I can see the sense in Tbars but I'm a behemoth of a man and its not just the height of the apes but also the width. I have found 16inches rise from the trees and 33inches wide is my perfect number.

I also like my bars tilted forward a bit so that rules out most fixed T-bars.

I did the opposite, I went from 6 inch to bars to 12 inch apes and going up to 14 next week.
I feel more comfortable with apes. The over all control feels the same to me.
