All,
need some inputfrom some of you Bob riders........ How comfortable is a street bob on 100~200 mile trips? I have a Nightster and I am thinking about upgrading to a Street Bob because (now) the old lady decides she wants to ride. When I first bought the Nightster it was going to be for me on short trips but now it looks like its going to be two on 100~200 mile trips. Thanks for any input
I do 300-400 mile runs on the weekends on my 06 SB, did a 4 day run to AZ back in April. Its my first bike so I have the mind set that I ride what I got no matter what the distance, I also don't have anyting to compare it too, being that it is my first bike. 19,000+ miles in lil over a year, I'm very comfy on it.
Hi Cravenc, The Dyna's are the most comfortable bikes in the H-D. family if you exept the tourers of course! The Street Bob haveto be slightly modified for two up rides, you will have to addpassenger foot peg and supports as well a pi-pad or a new seat. That will be enough for most riders and I think with these you may be confident for your 100~200 mile trips. Maybe a small H-D. clip on fairing! You alsocan have a look on the Super glide and Low Rider which already have all needed for two up rides... No extra. Personally I'v already done 500 miles a day few times to go here and there in Europeand I still alive. But it's long whathever you ride! Gunny. Belgium.
the bob sits very well. hi bars make it nice too . rides so much better than my last bike which was a sporty . stock seat is a killer though .
Stock seat has about a two hour limit for me before its time to pull over. But beyond that it rules in terms of solo comfort. Not sure this would be my first choice if the intent was to pack the OL on a regular basis...
rode 150 miles yeaterday and could have easily rode 150 more. rode to laughlin 600 some odd miles in one day and only stopped for gas on 11 inch progressives set on the firmest setting. will her seat be as comfortable? prob not.
