Default fork removal/install help

Going to powercoat a set of fork lowers. Can anyone head me towards what replacement parts i will need for reassembly? Also any advice (do's and don'ts) on the task. Thanks.

Pick up a Factory Service Manual for your year and model ... it will have all the information you need to remove, disassemble, reassemble and replace.

Pick up a 49mm fork rebuild kit. It will have everything you need and end up cheaper than piecing it out

Something like this
http://m.ebay.com/itm/221804352060?_mwBanner=1

And blue loctite

Also you will need a impact wrench to take out the damper bolt

.. and you need to acquire a fork seal installer... I made mine from schedule 80 pvc pipe.

.. oh, and break the bolt loose in the bottom of the fork, before you take the fork cap off and pull the springs out.... just break it loose... only about 1/4-1/2 turn.
