All I know is that the piston look a little like Wisecos.. Wiseco had issue with 2 mm oil rings and went to 3mm oil rings. Older pistons with 2.4mm oil rings were OK.

Interesting that you say that... The old pistons were Wisecos, but a new set from S&S are going in...
I'm not liking these bits of tensioner that became visible in the bottom of the chest once the cam plate was removed... They seem to be from the inner side, but I haven't disassembled the old cam plate yet to really look at them. I don't see any bits in any nooks or crannies, so hopefully they didn't travel. Once I take the tensioner off the plate I'll try to estimate how much is unaccounted for...
