Keep going through batteries

I looked in my service manual, strange, does not list the voltage output specs direct from the alternator, just remember on my 81 suzuki GS1000 spec 75-90VAC. as a couple others said, if the battery is damaged due to overcharging, I still vote regulator.

Check the ground connection on the rectifier/regulator. If it not a good solid connection it will cause the battery to overcharge. You may have a intermittent bad ground.
