Default Probably a dumb question

I just got my new sidemount plate in the mail. This time I'm trying an axle mount instead of my previous shock mount. When I unbolt the left axle nut to put this thing on will it affect the wheel, or will everything stay put? Should I put it on the lift? I've never pulled a wheel so I am not sure how unbolting one side will affect things.

Like daily said, if you're only taking the nut off, then you'll be okay. Moving the bike of adjusting the belt tensioners is another matter, that will move the axle, which is not what you want to do.

Post some pix when you get it installed.

Awesome, thats what I was hoping. I'll post some pics when its installed. I already had a side mount from this fabricator, but it mounted to the shock bolt and it broke off. He sent me a new one for free and this one goes to the axle. This one looks a little stronger so hopefully it wont fail. We'll see. I also bought another shock mount one from a different shop but haven't got it in the mail. I am going to compare the two and see which one seems sturdier.
