tought guy?. I was being intentionally extreme... and messing with oddjack. Why are you jumping in like a super hero and insulting people. Chill with that nonsense.
This is not what can we do to fix x or y thread.
this thread is the type of thread that hangs out bars with only men, dressed like slutty versions of the village people.
It is invitation to discuss menstrual pains. It's a cry baby/entitlement thread.
OJ, knew all this stuff he's being all emotional about. He had a sportster first.... so why act all surprised... and start a thread to discuss stockings and high heels. And lipstick shades? ... especially after posting a bunch of nonsense about not needing all the tech and gizmos in his proclamation that the street bob is the best dyna because it has nothing on it. "The heart and soul of nothingness"
Why, Jack? Whyyyyyyy!!!!??
Inside jokes are tough to de cypher, cvaria! I wasn't the only one who took it wrong. You insulted oddjack first! But I guess not so much after all. Way to set me up!
I'm pretty happy with my FXDB, but this was not my first HD and like others have said, I knew what I was buying. But, one thing that I just can't get over is why the F did HD have to start using those crap chicom made wheel bearings...???...
How much extra would "you" (me, anybody) pay for a Dyna that had premium shocks/forks, brakes, bearings, wheels, tires, electronics, etc. A "dream" Dyna. $5k over a base model?
Many of us have spent multiple thousands "upgrading" whatever bugged us or adding whatever we felt was missing. Take a minute and add it up.
Would you give that same amount of money to MoCo and just ride-n-smile? Or would you still spend a small fortune to "make it your own"? Be honest.
Personally, I'd be perfectly happy to go to the dealer and buy a frame/drivetrain/front end and haul it home in the back of a truck. I'm gonna change everything else anyway. Hell, even my frame is customized.
I'm not gonna say what I've invested in my antique salvage-title Wide Glide, but it's more than most would consider sane...and I bet I'm not alone.

I wish it came with an ohlins / suspension package. Most premium bikes now have this option if you check out ducati bmw yamaha etc... I'd pay the extra to the Harley if they did it right.
