The side plate mount (WG and son's Iron) is an ugly POS, looks like some aftermarket low-dollar "universal fit" item.
Anything MoCo displaying fuel level, low fuel, or range to empty is crap.
Filling the tank is a bit of a PITA compared to my Sportster. The last 1/2-3/4 gallon bubbles up in the filler, have to stop and start several times to check where actual level is. If the pump has too much pressure you just can't start it slowly enough for this and have to leave the tank under filled. Sportster with 4.5 never did this.
Pretty minor things. I'm really happy with my Wide Glide. Love the look, ride, power, mileage. I have parts to throw on to make it a mini bigger for multi-day trips. I typically ride it stripped down, but it handles both personalities with ease.
I must have a rare fuel level sender. Mine is pretty good. No complaints. It is slow to react, but that's fine. I don't want the needle bouncing around with every bump and corner. We'll see how the accuracy changes after I get my tank mods completed, tho! LOL
