WTF, not impressed with the hardware u get for the coin u spend ( check out a Honda Africa Twin for the same coin as a Dyna); nonetheless, down wit the hole " real American V-Twin Iron BS" image and ****. Actually, as a motorcyclist, I find riding any HD to be rather 'engaging', for lack of a better term- cant ride one really well without spending both a lot of attention and coin( yet still get your lunch eaten by some punk on 6k worth of sport bike)- hope for some ta ta' as consolation prize cuz u still b koool
Only real complaint other than the one mentioned plenty Suspension .. Which have Corrected, is the Location of the Key Switch on the 2005 Super Glide , would be easy enough to relocate so guess it's not all that critical, but with the A Key is a total PITA to insert the Key unless do so before mounting the Bike .. Do have plans on replacing it one day but so far that one day has not got here so once again guess it's not that big a deal .. But whoever designed this Key location either had a bad hangover or was just drunk to begin with ..
M8 has liquid cooled heads; either water or oil depending on application. M8 also has counterbalancer across the board. I don't want no M8 on a Dyna. Add a metric-style 3-way turn switch and I might as well just get a metric. I don't give a runny **** about badges. To me, Harley is about the soul in the machine and they are engineering that out with every new iteration.
Man, looking at those recently posted pics of the Dyna/Softass merging, I must say that I am not all that impressed. Fugly.
I would take a new SG with the new engine. Momma would like the smoothness on the longer rides.
I won't get rid of my Dyna. There are comments in the OPs other threads about modded Harleys not being Harleys...These things are a blank canvas when they are new. I guess I knew it would take a lot of money, and mods to get it where I wanted. That is the way it is with every bike, for me.

i like that fat bob, a lot. i will not storm the beach to buy it but, i will have my butt on it asap for a test ride if there's one around here. in 5 years or so i may get one after the gremlins have surfaced and the aftermarket has caught up.
i guess the wide glide will appear in a few years too.

When I saw the pic of the FB, my immediate thought was "Honda Magna"
It might grow on me. I will check 'em out when they show up locally.
The new CVO Street Glides are super sweet. Now there is a bike that costs as much as a truck

and looking at the new bikes.... even hd has moved on from the old format. The sportster is going to be the last holdout of the old guard... looks that way.
Seems Harley's business model is to sell bikes with substandard parts so riders will buy "upgrades" thru HD.
Smart actually. Until HD passes a threshold, that is...
