hey folks, trying to figure out how to wire my amp to my accessory output. i want to connect to accessory cable but amp has 1 red and 1 black only and accessory plug is different. any suggestions? recommendations?
Your accessory plug (under your seat), has:
2 orange wires - power from ignition switch through 'cust accy' 15Afuse
1 red-on-yellow wire - power from rear brake switch ( to power another brake light )
1 black wire - ground.
The accessory plug is a female 4-place Deutsch style with wires supplied as archergodwin describes.
You can get the male 4-place Deutsch w/pins from a Harley dealer or many other electrical suppliers including ebay for just a few $.
It's a simple matter to connect your amp to a male Deutsch and plugging into the accessory.
thanks archergodwin & johnmn, i dont have the amp in front of me but if my memory serves me it's a 12V. does that make sense? i figured out the deutsch connector but are unsure on how to connect the two wires i have from the amp to that connector.

Cut any connector or pins off of the amp wires if there are any.
Crimp or solder the new Deutsch pins you bought to the amp wires,
Push the new pins into the new 4-pin Deutsch connector you bought and plug it into the Deutsch Accessory plug on the bike.
You'll need to use the corresponding pin locations so you are using one of the Orange power lines and the Black ground line.
