Sounds like you've made up your mind and I don't have much to add so suffice it to say I love my Supermeg, great sound (got better with age), right amount of volume and awesome performance. The finish and fit of the shields could certainly be better but I think it adds character!
Just for later reference, I have the (new) Vance and Hines Upsweep without the optional quiet baffle. It's loud. Don't start it up in an enclosed garage in front of women and children or you'll likely see tears. I expect the optional baffle would help greatly but I'm also sure that it would impair the performance of the system.
It's a short exhaust system that turns up sharply at the passenger peg. My bike is set up as more of a curvy road bike with low handlebars, a jacked-up suspension and Trail Attack tires. The Upsweep is fantastic for cornering clearance on very deep lean angles to the right. No scraping.
The Upsweep is a wonderful performer too, especially when combined with some engine work. The sound of the short system is a more of a staccato note than longer pipes. Exhausts are like a musical instruments- the longer the horn, the deeper the note. Still, the Upsweep sounds great to me with my longish duration cams.

Vance and Hines Pro Pipe and order the quiet baffle with that. I did and it is really quiet! Actually too quiet for me and went back to the stock baffle that came with it. So, if that's really what you're looking for, check out that quiet baffle on Vance and Hines website. It had to be ordered extra too on top of the Pro Pipe.
If you are interested in a chrome E-Series system we have a slightly used system in stock we would sell at a good discount. You can contact us at 920-423-3309 ask for Mikayla.

Good luck, hope it works out for you! Keep us updated, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. If the E series had been out when I was replacing my Python's I definitely would have done it simply for the dual 12mm-18mm O2 bungs and quality of finish.
