Just to clarify before you make your purchase: Mchad has had both the Supertrap Supermeg and the Fuelmoto E-series on his Lowrider S. Both are similar in design. Through his experience it is his opinion the Fuelmoto setup is far superior in quality although perhaps a bit louder. He has proven to be a neutral and fair assessor of Products for the Dyna which means he buys a lot of stuff and gets rid of it it it doesn't meet his expectations. Kind of like a self funded Consumer Reports for the forum.
What housing is that? Just curious. No need now, but I remember trying to figure out a solution for my old '08.
I bought one of those cheap eBay fork mount housings, ditched the 39mm clamps and found a 1 1/4" clamp at the hd dealer. Had to drill out the clamp to fit the right size bolt through but was easy enough. Probably took about 2 hours and like $50. Used a little electrical tape behind it to protect the paint and make it fit a like tighter.

Nice. I like the provision for the idiot lights. Thanks.
Exhausts are like a musical instruments- the longer the horn, the deeper the note. Still, the Upsweep sounds great to me with my longish duration cams.
The larger diameter the horn, the deeper the tone.
But, you are right about cams making different sounds with everything else being equal. Compression makes a difference too.

The length, diameter and flare of a tube affect its pitch.
Have you ever noticed how a trombone works?? Pitch is changed by the slide and its effect on the length of the tube. Sound wave technicalities can get complicated.
Also, have you ever noticed the sound from those loooonnnng porker pipes? They are not fat but they can produce a deep pitch.
My old '78 Shovelhead has its stock 2:1 exhaust system that reaches back almost past the rear tire. It produces a delightfully deep bass tone that is not just due to the engine characteristics of the wonderful Shovelhead motor.
At the suggestion from Zippers when I bought my thundermax I got D&D Fatcats. They are not to loud but when you get on it they have a nice bark. Very good quality also.
