A little back ground first. I have a 2011 wide glide I got with 7,000 miles on it. road it home from the dealer with no major vibrations. started riding it to work and back no problems. there is a small stretch of highway that I take every time. Once I got on the throttle hard merging into traffic and suddenly I had a strong vibration in 5th from 50 to 60 and in 6th from 60 to 70.
So i started researching on here on found that the front motor mounts go bad quick. I checked and sure enough my mount was shot. I ordered a new one and installed it. next day to work and the vibration was still there crap! More research. I noticed my rear shocks were really soft even with me, i'm 150lbs,so I bumped it up 2 notches no change to the vibration. I kept on riding it because most of my commute is at slower speeds. time goes by I decided to bump up the shocks another click. rode better but still vibrated.
weather turned to crap so the bike sat from a few weeks. I decided to add hard saddlebags for some storage. before I mounted them I decided to bump the shocks up one more click for the hell of it. Rode it to work and back today, vibration is totally gone! Bike still rides nice not harsh at all.
