This particular bike has been loaded with a Screamin' Eagle Stage 1 upgrade; I'm not sure what that means, but I understand that it is supposed to enable the intake/exhaust to have a much more powerful flow through; it also aids in the vibration at lower rpms. (Much like a 327 V8 with a mild cam)
Which is something I probable just have to get used to, or else, re map the ECM with the Power Commander module that came with this bike.
I think the real issue is the ride itself, ergo, "A brick, with wheels". I appreciate all the great info about suspension, shocks, engine mounts, and tires. I will work towards
figuring out the best combination of these to arrive at the best possible conclusion.

HD didnt get any better with the 14 version either. I am asking the same questions you are and planning on replacing the seat and the shocks as the next projects.
Progressive 444s look to be the direction I am headed for shocks, as well as a Mustang wide solo with backrest for a new saddle.
