No spark
Replaced the CKP and made no difference ........Still no spark. guess ill be chasing shorts or open wires now

So Cleared the codes again just to be certain i wasnt looking at old codes... Now i get NO codes, probly because bike isnt starting so ECM isnt collecting any info.....

So, change your plugs, even if they look â perfect.â
Still no joy finding the problem but I have a suspicion my coil is shot.....
What I do know:
- Connectivity from the CKP sensor back to ECM plug is Good.
- CKP Sensor is NEW so I am assuming it works.
- Connectivity from Coil connector back to ECM Plug & 12V power fuse is Good
- I get 12v at the coil connector when I crank the motor.
- On the ignition coil pins, I get good Ohm reading between 12v pin and front and rear coils
- Ignition Coil output reads 7Kohms across it.
The Manual page I have is from a 2003 Dyna, (kindly provided by FXD2003rider), it shows the coil schematic and testing procedure, based on this my coil FAILS. But I dont know if the coil inards are the same as for a 2010 Dyna. The 2003 diagram doesnt show an ION sense connection.
Measuring from the 12V pin to the secondary coil is a big airgap, However if i measure from the ION SENSE pin to the secondary i get 3K5ohms either side which indicates that the ION SENSE is centre tapped to the secondary coil (7kohms across whole secondary), which makes sense as it is from here that it gets resistance feed back from the spark plugs.
What I dont know for certain now, does the 12V power center tap to the secondary or not for 2010 dynas? I would have thought it would, but maybe the ION SENSE is somehow involved here beyond being a passive sensor???
The only other thing I can think of is the ECM is on the Fritz, or somehow the CKP isnt seeing the TDC mark when the motor turns. (I did briefly get a CKP SYNC ERR code at one point) Ill put an LED across it to see if I get a flash.
Off to change spark plugs now in a fit of desperation.....
Well, new spark plugs made no difference, didnt think it would but at least one more potential problem ticked off the list..

But still no bang, not even an attempt to fire. Motor just cranks as if there is no spark, or gas.....

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
What about the condition of fuses for the fuel pump, injectors and ecm?
Have you disconnected the ecm from the main harness and checked if there isn't any moisture in the connector?
All Fuses good, ECM connector clean and dry. I hear the fuel pump prime when i switch ignition on.
Im worried now that Ill be chasing around in circles looking for probs that arent there...
