2001 FXDL will not idle until it's warm

I just reread his initial post. Even if it did have the vacuum petcock with problems, it would not cause his problem.
My carbed bikes always had problems idling without using the enrichner until it warmed up. I had to blip the throttle to keep it going. My cars and trucks from the 60s and early 70s were the same way if the auto choke did not work. Until fuel injection came along the engine had to some way have a richer mixture when cold.
If it smooths and runs fine once warmed up or is not fouling your plugs, I would not worry about it.
