Default 2017 Dyna suspension upgrade

Looking to upgrade my rear suspension for a 2017 Dyna street bob. I'm looking to be comfortable on longer rides, but I also don't want to sacrifice performance. Trying to keep it under $1000. Any recommendations?

Ohlins STX 36 Blackline Shocks
Part Number: HD762

Definitely the way to go. Myself, and passenger (wife), have been very satisfied with the huge improvement.

these were actually my first choice but every site I see them for sale on has them for up to 2016 Dynas. Not really sure why they aren’t rated for 2017.... I can’t imagine there being much difference in the year’s rear ends. what year is your bike @Urbanrunner ?

Ohlins can be had for 800-850

odc is a newer company coming to the v Twin market they look very promising. Will run round 720 for a set of their tracker shocks.

racetech can be had for the same price of ohlins all good choices

one thing you’ll find out once you get good rears is the front front forks leave a lot to be desired $$

As usual, a suspension thread results in every conceivable option being mentioned...
