No worries man! I've been looking at jacks and the j&s seems like my go to over the pittbull. Still havent used the damn thing though. Been working and its been raining. One of many downsides if not all to not having a garage.
So i started to work on my bike and i was going to use my diy jack. I needed to lift the back tire. I was uncomfortable lifting the bike up w so little space w that jack. I remember coming across a youtube video and a clever way to use a scissor jack and some wood. I had the scrap wood to build it less than 5 minutes and get the bike up in a secure solid mannner. This is mine Mines modified a lil different w yoga puzzle matting. Its very strong and absorbent. It was very snug to get it in but doable. So i actually rolled the back tire up on a piece of wood to get plenty of room. When i jack it up i just pulled the wood out from under the tire w a view hits of the hammer no prob.hope this helps someone
