Default Detachable backrest? Creative options?

Hi all, I have a detachable sissy bar currently HD. I often ride 90% without a passenger. Anyone have any innovative solutions to somehow create a quick detach backrest?

i would like to have the backrest snap off and on quickly. Are there any fancy bolts designed for this from hardware stores? 2 bolts in the middle of thr backpad
.

i want to do this so i have more room to put my bag over the bar when im not riding with passenger. The backpad threads seem low quality so i dont want to be unscrewing and screwing continuously. The pad feels very cheap.

Maybe just replace the hardware with knurled thumb screws? You could take it off without a tool...

Not so much the tool issue...but going in and out of the backrest a few times i fear the mounts inside the backrest will fall out lol. Seriously. .the backrest from HD is really really cheap feeling. Knurled screws would be perfect if the head popped off. Such a thing?

Put studs in the backrest and then use any removable female threaded fastener of your choice

Detachable isn't all that.. It will rattle! I hear that over my pipes! Drives me up a wall.

Gotta find my O ring pack and put it on, I have some how lost three packs! I refuse to buy a forth.

Lol....on diagram .

i already have the detachable hardware on. Works like a charm. No rattle...its actually almost too snug and i have to massage it in . No complaints at all. Not sure why yours would rattle? I have a exhaust also. Did you go OEM? Im using all HD stuff.
