Default Load regulator needed???

Hey dudes,
planning on ordering a custom dynamics license plate LED rear signal kit & joker machine front LED turn signals for my ‘09 FXDC. Curious as to whether or not I need a load regulator, and if so, one or two? Not quite positive how everything wires together.
Thanks!

Yes you do.

Custom dynamics have an assortment of plug n play black box equalisers, give them a call

Depends on the size of the equalizer. I did a cycle vision rear light on my '09 and they specifically told me not to use the equalizer that comes with it but instead I had to buy another one from them. This other one was physically bigger.

I tested with the smaller one to see what would happen. It worked but wasn't enough. So my lights wouldn't flash quick but id get a flashing red key in between each flash. When using the equalizer they told me to I didn't have this issue.

Months later I added custom dynamics front LEDs. I added the smaller load equalizer that I had left over, the flashing red key came back. So I know I need a bigger one.

Given my experience, you'll probably need two. Although I think you can get an adjustable one (badlands?).

Yes,you’ll need one. It’s plug and play and will do all the things you’re planning.

thanks HrdNox, would that single unit be sufficient for front & back signals?

Yes. And I’m 99.9 percent sure that’s the I have. And if you cut the “ears” off it fits in the space inside the fuse box.
