Do these look okay? Seem like they're a bit discoloured to me. Do the colours mean anything on these like on spark plugs? Soot, I guess, I don't know.

My parts came in the mail this last little while in an order that made it fairly easy to put things on one at a time. I got the pipes before the Further Forward Mids kit came in so that was the only thing I had to wait for. Just a quick update to show a pic and ask another question before I go out for a rip. Everything I've done recently is in this picture: Saddlemen Step-Up Seat in Tuck & Roll, Lowbrow Customs version of the Kerker SuperMegs 2:1 exhaust, H-D Further Forward Mid-Control Kit, Bitubo Twin-Adjustable Shocks. I've been doing one change, and taking it for a short test-ride over the last week and a half or so. Today will be the first day with the correct tune so I'm looking forward to that. This is the first point that I can see that this bike will end up along the lines of what I had in mind at the start. Wasn't looking good for a while there, but now things are coming together.

I can't get my headlight to point upwards enough - the housing hits the fork tubes and won't go any higher. I haven't tested it yet with the shocks installed, but they probably made things worse. If there was a different foot for the housing, or if I could make a bracket that would kick out the bottom just a bit, it could tip back more.

Very nice, is that an HD dipstick, handle looks more user friendly then mine is to get in and out with my exhaust bend. How's that seat, how does it move you around after all?

Hi Gleam. How was your ride so far on the fat bob?

Still riding it? I just recently bought one 2011 FXDF FB in Jan 2022. Guess what, the mileage was insane, at about 11k km.

Thought it was a great deal. With J&H pipes fixed up.

Anything else to look out for, or to change? I'm getting a saddlemen step up so my girlfriend is comfy on it. The current Roland Sands Design isn't very pillion friendly. Perhaps a sissy bar to complete the look and comfort.

Recently had the stock 2011 tyres changed to the Metzeler Cruisetec. I highly recommend the Cruisetec.

Hoping to learn more from you guys!

If you put on a 5and 3/4 headlight the fairings for wide glides should fit as they share the same fork spacing. (tho im no expert). Try to call up memphis shades and ask them

It's a Rifle fairing. Rifle Roadster to be exact ( they make a couple different models) I have the 18" windshield I cut to 17". Its just my preference.

Google up Rife Fairing and the company will come up. they have been in the game a long time.
