Default How do I

I have throw over saddle bags and they flop around at highway speed, how do I rig them so they stay stationary. After I installed the 10.5 shocks the original bags don't fit so had to go throw overs.

I know this is a dumb question but do you have the brackets that need to be used with throw overs??

Well when you do something custom like that you have to think a bit.
Usually a leather lace or zip tie can be used to hold the front of the bag to a single wrap of the shock coil. The lace is best if you want to easily on/off with the bags.
You may have to punch a hole or two in the bags for the lace or stitch something to the bags to have a tie-down access.

I used throw over brackets that attached to the top shock bolt or the strut bolts then tied them down to the brackets. Tying them down to the shock springs themselves can create issues and doesn't hold down the rear of the bags.
